Qualifying results had a few suprises. McLaren were strong as expected but no one suspected they would be ahead of everyone else. They starts first and second.
Grosjean was a big surprise in 3rd. The Lotus was fast in testing but no one expected them to be that high up. Add to that Grosjean never raced in Melbourne and so he is pretty much a rookie here. Impressive

In 4th is Michael Schumacher in the much improved Mercedes. They have certainly made a step forward and are right behind McLaren
