Schumacher wins the race after both Ralf and David have problems
when pitting. Ralf managed to get second after starting from Pole. Barrichello starting from a low 8th managed to make it into 3rd on a 3 stop strategy. David Coulthard could only mange 4th after receiving a stop-go penalty for speeding in the pit lane. Mika Hakkinen failed to start the race as he stalls on the formation lap. Juan Pablo Montoya retires with an engine failure from second. 17 cars were classified as finishers. Ferrari, Jordan, Sauber, Prost, Benetton, and Minardi managed to have both their cars classified. No team failed to finish either of their cars. |

Coulthard wins the race after passing both Rubens Barrichello and
Michael Schumacher (who started from pole) on the track. Mika
Hakkinen also manages to pass Michael who retires a few laps later
with engine trouble. 15 cars were classified as finishers. McLaren, Williams, Sauber and Prost managed to finish both their cars. Only Arrows failed to finish either of their cars. |
