Ferrari,
Sauber, and Jaguar managed to finish both cars.
Williams were the only team that neither car failed to finish.
Only 13 cars managed to cross the finish line.
The lap times have dropped by more than 2 seconds a lap as a
result of competing tyre manufacturers.
Jacques Villeneuve hits the back of Ralf Schumacher on lap 5 at
high speed and crashes into the retaining wall. He is not hurt but
a safety marshal is killed by flying debris.
Olivier Panis finishes 4th but is penalised 25 seconds for passing
under yellow flags. He is classified 7th.
