Cape Town Experience

Welcome to Cape Town, Mother City of Africa, and the Western Cape, an area which is regarded as one of the most beautiful regions in the world. Cape Town provides a setting for many scenic wonders, magnificent seascapes and panoramic vistas! The city is a rare cultural gem, boasting architecture, cuisine, music and dance to impress beyond your wildest expectations!

For the next 6 days be immersed in all that is Cape Town ... The Mother City, South Africa!

Day 1: Arrive in Cape Town - Thursday 10 June, 2010

On arrival at Cape Town International Airport you will be met by a local English-speaking guide and transferred to The Best Western Cape Suites (or similar) in the Mother City.
After checking into the hotel, you will meet for a welcome dinner function hosted by The Four Diegos.

Day 2: Day of Leisure - Friday 11 June, 2010

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, followed by a full day to spend at your leisure. This is an ideal opportunity to experience the Mother City via a City Tour, Cape Peninsula Tour, Shark Cage Diving adventure or a Botanical Garden Tour. NB: Tours are optional and not included in package price.

Day 3: Robben Island Tour - Saturday 12 June, 2010

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before being transferred to the Nelson Mandela Gateway. From here you travel by ferry to Robben Island for a three and a half hour tour. Included is a return trip across Table Bay, a visit to the Maximum Security Prison, interaction with an ex-political prisoner and a 45 minute bus tour with a guide providing commentary.
At the conclusion of the Robben Island Tour, return to the hotel to spend the remainder of the afternoon and evening at leisure.

Day 4: Game Day - Sunday 13 June, 2010 (Game day to be confirmed 4 Dec 09)

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer either by air or coach to the relevant stadium for the match of the day. At the conclusion of the game, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cape Town.

Day 5: Table Mountain Tour - Monday 14 June, 2010

After another lovely breakfast at the hotel, you will be met in the reception area of your hotel and transferred through the Mother City to Table Mountain. Enjoy a spectacular return trip on the Cable Car and a fabulous champagne brunch on the Twelve Apostles Look Out Deck, which overlooks the city and mountains.

At the conclusion of brunch, transfer back to your hotel for an afternoon and evening at your leisure. Suggested tours include a City Tour, Cape Peninsula Tour, Shark Cage Diving adventure or a Botanical Garden Tour.
NB: Tours are optional and not included in package price.

Day 6: Departure Day - Tuesday 15 June, 2010 Guests will enjoy breakfast in the hotel for the final time before checking out at 11.00am. After checkout, transfer to Cape Town International Airport, for a scheduled flight to Durban.

Durban Experience

Durban is situated in the province of KwaZulu Natal, on the east coast of South Africa. The city is set on Natal Bay and benefits from year-round warm waters making it one of South Africa’s top vacation spots. Durban is also one of Africa’s busiest and most important ports. Being a sophisticated cosmopolitan city, you will enjoy fine and traditional dining, entertainment and shopping in picturesque surroundings.

Day 6: Arrive in Durban - Tuesday 15 June, 2010

Upon arrival in Durban, you will be greeted by a local representative and transferred to The Palace Apartments (or similar). Once settled into your room, you will meet again for another dinner function whilst being briefed on the Durban leg of the journey. The remainder of the evening will be spent at leisure.

Day 7: Big 5 Experience - Wednesday 16 June, 2010

Enjoy a healthy breakfast at the hotel before meeting a local guide in the hotel reception. Then depart for the Hluhluwe Game Reserve for a Big Five Experience in an open 4x4 vehicle. Throughout this tour, you can expect to get up close and personal with lions, leopards, elephants, rhinoceros’ and buffalos!

On completion of the tour, return to hotel for leisure time, followed by dinner.

Day 8: Day of Leisure - Thursday 17 June, 2010 Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before a day of leisure to explore Durban at your own pace.

Day 9: Game Day - Friday 18 June, 2010 (Game day to be confirmed 4 Dec 09)

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the stadium for the second Socceroos match. On completion of the game, transfer back to the hotel.

Day 10: City Tour - Saturday 19 June, 2010

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, before meeting a local guide in the hotel reception area for a tour of the City. Highlights of this ˝ day tour include: Marine Parade Drive, the Rickshaw pullers and the Harbour; Vasco da Gama Clock; the Sugar Terminal; University of Natal; Botanical Gardens and bargaining at the colourful Indian Market. On conclusion of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel where you can spend the remainder of the day at your own leisure.

Day 11: Shakaland Cultural Show & Lunch - Sunday 20 June, 2010

Enjoy another healthy breakfast at the hotel ahead of meeting our guide in the hotel reception from where you will depart to Shakaland for an incredible Shakaland Zulu cultural show and lunch. Once finished, transfer back to your hotel to spend the remainder of the day at your own leisure.

Day 12: Depart Durban - Monday 21 June, 2010

Enjoy your final breakfast in Durban prior to checking out. A guide will meet you in the hotel reception area and escort you to the coach from where you will transfer to Durban Airport for a flight to Johannesburg.

Johannesburg Experience

Day 12: Arrive in Johannesburg - Monday 21 June, 2010

Upon arrival at O.R. Tambo International Airport a local representative will meet and transfer you to Mondior Concorde Hotel (or similar). The remainder of the day will be left to you to enjoy at your own leisure.

Day 13: Game Day - Tuesday 22 June, 2010 (Game day to be confirmed 4 Dec 09)

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the stadium for the third Socceroos match. On completion of the game, transfer back to your hotel.

Day 14: Johannesburg to the Kruger National Park - Wednesday 23 June, 2010

Breakfast will again be enjoyed at the hotel ahead of checking out. Transfer to Kruger National Park by coach and travel through the Panorama Route enjoying lunch along the way. On completion of the Panorama Route, check into the Greenway Woods Resort (or similar) and enjoy dinner at the resort. The remainder of the evening will be spent at your own leisure.

Day 15: Kruger National Park - Thursday 24 June, 2010

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast you will be met in the reception area by a local guide and Game Rangers before being escorted to their open safari vehicles for a full day safari inside Kruger National Park. Spend the day inside Kruger National Park – using the expertise of the rangers to view the Big Five.

You will have the opportunity to enjoy the bush in a truly authentic African manner. Later this afternoon return to the lodge and enjoy the remainder of the day at your own leisure, followed by dinner in the hotel.

Day 16: Kruger National Park - Friday 25 June, 2010

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy another full day game drive into Kruger National Park. Dinner will be enjoyed in the hotel later in the evening.

Day 17: Home Time - Saturday 26 June, 2010

Breakfast to be enjoyed at the hotel for the final time, before checking out and traveling to O.R. Tambo International Airport for your flight home.
