F1 News - Rosberg hopes Mercedes can end losing streak - January, 2012 |
Jan.4 (GMM) Nico Rosberg is confident Mercedes is the key to ending his losing streak in formula one. The highly rated 26-year-old, with six full seasons under his belt, now has the unenviable tally of more than a century of consecutive grands prix without a single win."If you're at the wrong place at the wrong time, you can't do anything about it," the German told Bild newspaper.Rosberg spent his first four seasons with Williams but, now at Mercedes into the foreseeable future, he is confident he is at the right team. The Brackley based squad does not intend to get its 2012 car up and running until the second test of the pre-season, but Rosberg does not sound worried."I have a good feeling about 2012," he insisted. "I know our guys are working hard in the factory to finally bring us to the front."I know we have many good ideas," added Rosberg. He was asked by the Kolner Express tabloid if he has a new year's resolution."I need to be patient," answered the German. "I will not get frustrated as our sport is unique."You are so dependant on the equipment that is available to you, which means that the majority do not win and someone thinks he's the best, even if this is often not the case."But I'm happy where I am and I want to lead Mercedes to wins and championships," added Rosberg.F1 News F1 Schedule F1 Line-up Constructors' Championship Drivers' Championship F1 Tickets Live F1 Coverage Full Version: Formula 1 News Formula 1 Schedule Formula 1 Line-up Constructors' Championship Drivers' Championship Live F1 Coverage 10 'n' Pole F1 Regulations The Forums Motorsport Shop F1 Merchandise F1 Tickets F1 Diecast F1 Videos F1 Games Back To Top |
