May 29 (GMM) Sergio Perez will on Sunday spend a second night in hospital.

His F1 employer Sauber said the Mexican, who is nursing concussion and a sore thigh after a sickening qualifying crash, had a "good night" in Monaco's Princess Grace hospital.

"The medical staff want to keep him in hospital for another night under observation and to carry out another scan on Monday," the Swiss team added.

Perez, 21, told his Twitter followers late on Saturday that he will be fit for the forthcoming Canadian grand prix.
