Mar.11 (GMM) Mick Schumacher will have a teammate with another famous surname in the German formula 4 series this year.
Recently, it was announced that 15-year-old Mick, whose dad is the legendary seven time world champion, is stepping up to single seater racing this year with a Dutch team.
Now, Van Amersfoort Racing is staying in the headlines with news Harrison Newey, the 16-year-old son of arguably F1’s greatest ever designer Adrian, will be Schumacher’s teammate in 2015.
“This has been one of the most pleasant weeks in our four decade history,” team owner Frits van Amersfoort, who powered Max Verstappen in European F3 last year, said.
“We’re extremely honoured to have some of auto racing’s most credible persons choosing to entrust our team in the development of two promising young talents,” he added.
