Tickets for Valencia GP sold out

Apr.12 (GMM) The inaugural European grand prix on a street circuit in the Spanish port city of Valencia has sold out, organisers of the August race revealed on Friday.

40 per cent of the 112,771 tickets were bought by spectators in Italy, France, the UK and Germany.

"Frankly it never crossed my mind that we would sell out in ten days," promoter Jorge Martinez Aspar, of Valmor Sports, said.

He said he will consider increasing the capacity of the grandstands.
