Apr.11 (GMM) Giancarlo Fisichella is not upset that his former team, Renault, has struggled to shine so far in 2008.
The Roman left the team at the end of a difficult 2007 campaign, following three consecutive seasons at the cockpit of an Enstone built car.But with Nelson Piquet and Fernando Alonso now struggling for pace with the new R28, Fisichella told F1's official website that he is not regretting his move to the comparatively dwarfed outfit, Force India.Referring to the fact that he has been fighting among the Renaults at some of the races so far in 2008, the 35-year-old said: "It shows that Force India's project is a very promising one and that I made a good decision to join the team."Asked if his answer revealed a hint of satisfaction, Fisichella admitted that it did."Especially because everyone thought that Fernando was going to save the team and Renault spent a lot of time and money to give him a good car."In fact, in the first three races of 2007 I performed better with them than he has done so far this year," he noted.
