May 29 (GMM) Vitaly Petrov on Sunday said he is not in danger of missing the Canadian grand prix in two weeks. The Russian was taken to hospital by ambulance towards the end of Sunday's Monaco race after hitting the barriers. "It's been a big crash but I'm ok," he said late on Sunday. Petrov complained of ankle pain after the accident but according to the Renault team did not suffer any fractures. "After the impact, I could not feel my legs very well," he explained. "I did not lose consciousness but I was in quite a lot of pain when I was inside the car." As for whether he will be fully fit for Montreal, Petrov insisted: "Of course." Team boss Eric Boullier said the 26-year-old should be released from hospital "within the next couple of hours".
