Mar.11 (GMM) Robert Kubica will have to undergo further surgery.

On Thursday in Barcelona, Renault's team doctor Riccardo Ceccarelli said he did not think the injured Pole would have to have any more operations.

But the SID news agency on Friday said Kubica, the 26-year-old Renault driver, will have elbow surgery this weekend.

The operation will be Kubica's fourth since he was badly injured in a rally crash more than a month ago.

Professor Luigi Celli reportedly told the Italian media that the surgery is to improve the long-term mobility of the injured elbow.
