Jan.7 (GMM) As expected on Friday morning, HRT confirmed reports that Narain Karthikeyan will drive for the Spanish team in 2011.

33-year-old Indian Karthikeyan, who raced a single season under then Jordan boss Colin Kolles in 2005, had announced the news late on Thursday via Twitter.

Hispania confirmed that Karthikeyan's deal came after "many months of negotiations and discussions" between him and "several formula one teams".
