Feb.4 (GMM) With an unique launch presentation in Berlin, McLaren revealed its 2011 car on Friday.

In chilly Berlin, the British team's new MP4-26 was revealed minus its key components, which were steadily carried on and fitted, with Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton bolting on the final pieces.

The finished product revealed some radical shapes, including the 'U' sidepods and the extra air intakes on the engine cover.

"I hope the car proves just as innovative once we take to the track next week," said Hamilton.

He and Button wlil drive the car for the first time at Jerez starting next Thursday, after Gary Paffett gives it a private shakedown at the Idiada Proving Ground two days earlier.
