Nov.7 (GMM) A Sauber spokesperson on Sunday confirmed reports that multiple team engineers were robbed at gunpoint whilst returning to their Sao Paulo hotel on Saturday evening. The news comes as rumours suggest the future of the Interlagos event is in doubt over the security issue, after the car taking Jenson Button from the track on Saturday narrowly escaped a similar attack by smashing through traffic. According to German media, the team spokesperson said the Sauber attack involved three engineers. "They had stopped at a traffic light and were approached by five men. "One of them had a gun. They stole bags, personal items, mobile phones and cash." And Brazilian driver Lucas di Grassi told BBC radio that he was mugged for his watch in Sao Paulo recently.
