GP - 2nd Saturday Practice Final Order : Mika Hakkinen ahead of Michael Schumacher and Jenson Button. Rubens Barrichello, Ralf Schumacher and David Coulthard make the top 6. 45 min: Coulthard improves but still remains in 6th. No one else in the top 6 improve. 44 min: A lot of cars on the track for their final timed lap. Eddie Irvine improves to 8th. 42 min: Jarno Trulli improves to 11th while Jenson Button fails to improve and remains in 3rd. 40 min: 5 minutes remaining in the session and the drivers are preparing for their final run this morning. 38 min: Ralf Schumacher improves but remains in 5th. He is 0.456 slower than Hakkinen in 1st. 36 min: Michael Schumacher fails to improve on his time, he is in 2nd place. 34 min: Pedro Diniz has not set a time yet today. He blew an engine during the first session and continued driving on the track spilling oil on the track and causing a few drivers to spin. He will be penalised by the FIA. 32 min: Ricardo Zonta spins and retires. Session over for him. He is currently in 14th. 30 min: Top 6 - Mika Hakkinen, Michael Schumacher, Jenson Button, Rubens Barrichello, Ralf Schumacher and David Coulthard. 28 min: Mika Hakkinen goes fastest with a time of 1:37.037. 27 min: Alexander Wurz moves into the top 10 with a time of 1:38.257 in 8th just behind his team-mate Fisichella. 26 min: Eddie Irvine goes off but recovers while Villeneuve spins again but this time he also recovers.. 25 min: Top 10 - M Schumacher, Hakkinen, Button, Barrichello, R Schumacher, Coulthard, Fisichella, Villeneuve, Irvine and Verstappen. 24 min: Jarno Trulli moves into 12th place. He is still over 1.5 seconds off the pace. 22 min: Frentzen improves to 13th while Coulthard improves his time but remains in 6th. 20 min: Frentzen is still struggling as he is in 15th place. Jarno Trulli is in 21st !. The Jordan's are struggling today. 19 min: Jos Verstappen improves to 10th while Mika Salo moves into 12th position. 17 min: Jenson Button moves into 3rd place with a time of 1:37.244. Just 0.006 seconds behind Hakkinen in 2nd. 15 min: Top 6 - Michael Schumacher, Mika Hakkinen, Rubens Barrichello, Ralf Schumacher, David Coulthard and Jenson Button. 14 min: Rubens Barrichello improves to 3rd with a time of 1:37.260. Just 0.084 off the pace. 12 min: Very few improvements as most drivers are running on used tyres and saving the new tyres for the important qualifying session. 10 min: Top 10 - M Schumacher, Hakkinen, R Schumacher, Coulthard, Button, Fisichella, Villeneuve, Irvine, Barrichello and Herbert. 9 min: Jarno Trulli is on track after losing most of the first session today when he went off. 8 min: Eddie Irvine improves to 8th with a time of 1:38.474. 7 min: Hakkinen moves into 2nd place with a time of 1:37.238 just 0.062 behind Michael Schumacher. 6 min: Hakkinen on track and appears set to improve his time. 4 min: No improvements so far. 2 min: Herbert, Zonta, Heidfeld and Ralf Schumacher also go out on the track. 1 min: David Coulthard is the first to go out and is followed by Jenson Button and Michael Schumacher.
